The 24th European Dental Materials Conference will be held in Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. The School of Dentistry is based in the thriving and diverse area of Whitechapel and in 2014 moved into brand new state-of-the-art premises, The Royal London Dental Hospital. The new Dental School and Hospital houses the most modern and technologically advanced equipment in the UK, following more than a decade of planning and work.
The Conference will be held in Whitechapel at Barts and The London School of Dentistry in the Bearstead Lecture theatre which is located in the basement of the Dental School.
Address: Institute of Dentistry Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, New Road, London, E1 2AD.
Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry brings together two venerable teaching institutions: St Bartholomew’s Hospital, (circa 1123), and The London Hospital Medical College, founded in 1785, the oldest medical school in England and Wales. The two hospitals lie in two very different parts of London, the City and the East End, meaning our students are exposed to a greater diversity of people and their problems than at almost any other dental school. The Institute of Dentistry opened in 1911. In 1995 the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry was formed and then merged with Queen Mary, University of London in the same year.
